Walk Like a Man

Veritas Entertainment are delighted to be auditioning for our award-winning tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. This will be a 2-hour theatre show touring the UK at one-nighter venues in 2021. This show can also be a in 60 – 70-minute format for the hotel, corporate and cruise sector. Veritas are also very excited to be creating a filmed industry showcase. This shall be used to publicise the next phase of Walk Like A Man.

We are looking for energetic and motivated performers to recreate this slick and high-energy show.

All performers must have strong stage presence and be able to hold the stage on their own. They must be good dancers with lots of personality and have a great ear for harmony. Performers need to have a great “Four Seasons” sound so we advise listening to them before auditioning. This show is a fictitious live gig of the original Four Seasons and therefore performers must have, or be able to achieve, a typical Italian American appearance.

New Jersey accents are essential. For reference we advise watching ‘The Sopranos’.

All performers need to be able to engage and talk to an audience directly whilst remaining energised, yet natural. The individual characters are important to this show and therefore we advise paying close attention to the below breakdowns.

An essential part of this show is camaraderie. Remember these guys are your family and the history between you should be reflected in your performance.

We will also need them to learn the majority of the material prior to rehearsals. Veritas will provide all the necessary materials via Dropbox.

Frankie Valli (Male, 28–40 years)

Very high tenor with a secure and strong falsetto.
Lead singer of the group, Frankie possesses a confidence bordering on arrogance but must retain a sincere, likable nature. Must have plenty of charm and charisma and encompass a type A personality.
Vocal range: Bottom Ab to Top G (above top C) (in falsetto)
Playing age:
28–40 years
Non-union - Commercially Financed
Rehearsal & showcase total fee: £636.56

Accommodation provided when more than 3 hours away from Central London (as determined by google maps).

Tommy Devito (Male, 28–40 years)
Strong tenor with ability to use falsetto within harmonies.
Tommy is the quintessential alpha male. He truly believes that the group, and probably the world, revolves around him. They would be nothing without him. There is no one prouder of their New Jersey heritage than Tommy. This self-belief comes with huge amounts of Italian American swagger. He is the ultimate showman and is suave, highly energetic and believes every woman in the room wants him. Somehow this still errs on the right side of charming rather than arrogant.
Vocal range: Bottom D to Top D (above C) (in falsetto)
Playing age:
28–40 years
Non-union - Commercially Financed
Rehearsal & showcase total fee: £636.56
Gig fee: £200 plus £50 travel
Accommodation provided when more than 3 hours away from Central London (as determined by google maps).

Bob Gaudio (Male, 28–40 years)
Strong tenor with high falsetto. Ideally can play piano to a high standard (not essential)
Bob is one of life’s good guys. Slightly younger than the other guys in the group, Bob is more wide-eyed and optimistic. He is the song writer that made it all happen for the Four Seasons, but he is never rubbing this in the other guys faces. He is genuinely happy to be on stage performing and who better to be onstage with than his best friend Frankie?!

Out of the four of them, Bob is the most sincere and doesn’t have the need to carry himself with the same Italian American machismo as the other guys. His pleasure is his music and you can tell this from the moment he is on stage to the end of the show.
Vocal range: Bottom A to Top D (in falsetto)
Playing age:
28–40 years
Non-union - Commercially Financed
Rehearsal & showcase total fee: £636.56

Accommodation provided when more than 3 hours away from Central London (as determined by google maps).

Nick Massey (Male, 28–40 years)
Strong high-baritone with the potential to reach those bass notes.
Nick is a very unusual man. He is the quiet man of the group and doesn’t really have much to say during the show. However, he is the backbone of the Four Seasons. The relationship between Nick and Tommy goes back a long way and has involved various stints in prison together.

Vocal range: Bottom Eb to Bb
Playing age:
28–40 years
Non-union - Commercially Financed
Rehearsal & showcase total fee: £636.56
Gig fee: £200 plus £50 travel
