Performances: Min. $700/week
Travel and Housing: Travel and housing will be provided in addition to full health insurance coverage while on tour. Plus, a weekly expense reimbursement of $280/week with the election of single occupancy housing; $420/week with the election of double occupancy housing; & a range between $756 - $1036/week with the election of no producer-provided housing.
Location: US, CANADA, MEXICO TOUR
Must be able to work in the US. Must have current passport by first day of rehearsal.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Pretty Woman is a Based on the 1990 film of the same name. Pretty Woman is a modern retelling of the Cinderella story. Vivian, a Hollywood prostitute is picked up on the street by Edward Lewis, a tough but lonely business mogul. Employed as his companion, Vivian is immersed into the elite Beverly Hill society, but she soon realizes that she is a fish out of water. She wants to make something of her life, but she must be true to herself along the way. During a week of romance, both Vivian and Edward embark on a journey of self-discovery and discover true love along the way. Edward is softened and transformed by Vivian’s joy of life and he comes to realize that he must change his priorities if he wants to hold on to what matters most. He rediscovers his moral compass and drops his brutal business methods, much to his money-grabbing lawyer’s chagrin. Edward and Vivian’s love transcends social divides and this independent Cinderella gets her Prince. Music and lyrics by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, and a book by Garry Marshall and J. F. Lawton.

VIVIAN WARD Character is female, 20s – 30s, any ethnicity. A quirky girl who reluctantly works on Hollywood Boulevard as a prostitute but harbors Cinderella dreams of a better life. A star-crossed meeting with a lost billionaire propels her into a fish-out-of-water adventure among the rich and powerful of Beverly Hills. A Rodeo Drive shopping transformation takes her from Malibu parties to opera galas where she learns that confidence, and staying true to oneself, is even more important than material wealth. In the process, she discovers her self-worth and becomes determined not to settle for anything less than taking full control of her own destiny. Needs strong comedic chops and movement ability. Excellent pop/rock singer. Must be versatile in style and have strong belt and mix. PRINCIPAL
EDWARD LEWIS Character is male, late 30s – 40s, any ethnicity. A smart, successful, well-educated business mogul who takes over troubled companies and liquidates their assets. His tough, workaholic exterior conceals a sensitive,
artistic side, including a love of music and the arts. He’s in the process of orchestrating the biggest financial deal of his career, but the recent death of his father has him questioning his priorities. He hires Vivian hoping for some temporary, hassle-free companionship, but she completely upends his life. He realizes he will have to change if he wants to hold onto the things that matter most to him. Excellent pop/rock singer. Tenor. Needs to confidently be able to sing an A. PRINCIPAL
HAPPY MAN/BARNARD THOMPSON Character is male, 30s – 50s, any ethnicity. The magical Hollywood Boulevard fairy godfather to Vivian’s street Cinderella, he begins the story as a fast-talking peddler of Maps to the Stars who urges Vivian to hold onto her dreams. Later he transforms into Mr. Thompson, the efficient manager of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. He teaches Vivian ballroom dancing, how to dress like a lady, and, most importantly, to believe in herself. Excellent pop/rock singer. Tenor. Must be vocally diverse and able to switch between styles. Strong movement ability. PRINCIPAL
KIT DE LUCA Character is female, 20s – 40s, any ethnicity. A professional prostitute and party girl who took Vivian under her wing to teach her how to survive on the streets. Tough but funny, she comes to realize she has a lot to learn from Vivian about not giving up and settling for less. Inspired by Vivian’s example, begins a search for a better life. Excellent pop/rock singer. Powerhouse high belter. PRINCIPAL
[PHILLIP STUCKEY Character is male, 30 to 45 years old, all ethnicities man. Phil Stuckey is a shameless yes-man who is as ambitious as he is insincere. While he promotes himself as Edward's closest friend and confidant, he is an opportunistic and cutthroat attorney. Depicted as superficial and shallow, Phil favors getting ahead over taking the time to develop genuine social relationships. Phil is manipulative and often leads Edward to act in a way that harms himself but benefits Phil. He is also sleazy and although married, tries to hire Vivian as an escort. When Edward decides to help Morse's company without Phil's counsel, Phil takes it out on Vivian, sexually assaulting her and hitting her. Phil reveals himself to be the film's misogynistic antagonist.
