THE SHOW

Paradise Under The Stars is a new production by The Lost Estate, the UK’s leading immersive fine arts company.

The show is inspired by Havana's legendary Tropicana Club during its artistic heyday in the 1950s, in particular the experiences created by its leading choreographer Roderico Neyra - extraordinary and kaleidoscopic cabaret revues featuring outrageous dance and music spectaculars as well as groundbreaking celebrations of Afro-Cuban culture.

Our fantasy vision of 1950s Tropicana will feature electric arrangements of numbers from across the popular music and dance canon of the day (such as Salsa, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha) as well as theatricalised routines that delve into Afro-Cuban folklore, its traditional dances, music styles (such as rumba and son), and its key religion, Santeria.

Written for a 7-piece Cuban band, 2 singers, host and 4 dancers, this is an immersive, music-led production that transports audiences back to the glamorous, exotic, and dangerous world of pre-revolutionary Cuba.

As with all TLE productions, hospitality will be integrated within the show, with menus inspired by original Tropicana programmes, traditional Cuban food, and the iconic rum cocktails that put Cuban mixology on the map.

The Paradise creative team includes renowned Cuban artists such as choreographer, Luanda Pau (whose mother was resident choreographer at the Tropicana for 20 years), co-musical director, Yelfris Valdez (trumpet player with the legendary Cuban band, Sierra Maestra) and associate choreographer and performer, Maikel Mota.

The show will run at TLE’s West Kensington venue from March - September 2025.
