IAN SUBSARA is thrilled to be supporting the Pearson Casting team as their first USA based Casting Director!

 

Most recently, Ian worked at RWS Entertainment Group where he was the lead Casting Director of live shows and experiences for clients such as Azamara Cruises, Cunard Cruise Line, Postmodern Jukebox at Sea on Holland America Line, Madame Tussauds New York Presents Broadway, Audible, The SoNo Collection, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Prior to RWS, he was at Stewart/Whitley where he worked on casting numerous projects including Hadestown and Chicago (Broadway), Rock of Ages (Off-Broadway), John Doyle's August Rush (Paramount Theatre), Aida Cruise Lines, and the Broadway-branded shows on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Previous to that, he worked at Joy Dewing Casting where he served on the casting team for multiple projects including the national tours of Kinky Boots, Rent, and Cinderella.  Ian also served as a Casting Director at Comer Casting where he spearheaded seasons two and three of The Good Fight on CBS All Access and the Oprah Winfrey produced/Ava DuVernay directed When They See Us on Netflix. 

 

Ian is originally from Buffalo, New York, is currently working towards his MSEd in Educational Theatre at The City College of New York, and is a proud graduate of Elon University in North Carolina where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre.

As well as ongoing casting for both SIX The Musical and Beetlejuice onboard Norwegian Cruise Line, Pearson Casting New York recently cast the US Equity tour of 'Clue' for WorkLight Productions, directed by Casey Hushion and are soon to recast the US National & International Tour of 'Pretty Woman The Musical' for Crossroads Live.
